1. Delightful Rain Chain
Have you seen those rain chains that replace your rain gutter downspout? This is one of my favorite gardener gifts!
You can watch the rain pour down these little buckets in a happy little (or not so little) stream. So much fun and so pretty!
2. Rainfall Gauge
This isn’t just a nerdy gadget to satisfy the curious. It can actually help gardeners see how much water their garden got in the last rainstorm and know if they need to water their garden today. Pretty cool!
And you can find very scientifically accurate rain gauges, but I love my decorative one.
Just don’t let water freeze in it overnight or you’ll have to buy a replacement udometer.
3. Garden Thermometer
Thermometers are another *awesome* garden gadget- not just for the scientific or nerdy (like me), but also for the curious (which is also me).
I know one thing for sure… I’m not the only gardener who thinks that outdoor thermostats are way cool. 🙂
4. Creative Garden Planters
Who wants to plant in a traditional clay pot when you can find planters in all kinds of shapes?!
It’s definitely more fun to watch things grow out of things like boots, teapots, Buddhas, Volkswagen buses – you can find just about any shape you can imagine! These are totally awesome gardener gifts if you ask me.
5. Memorial Stepping Stones
Stepping stones add such a nice element to a garden. Memorial stepping stones are especially great for the sentimental.
You can find all kinds of memorial garden stones. Have your own made on Etsy or do some DIY to capture a handprint or paw print.
6. Garden Essential Oils and Diffuser
I love the smell of roses. Rose essential oil smells *exactly* like a rose should and the diffuser makes it easy to smell them all day long. Ahhhh… it’s like bringing the garden into my home, which I love.
Find the essential oils with your gardener’s favorite scents – citrus, flowers, mint – and pair it with a gentle diffuser.
Besides, they say it’s good for you. 😉
7. Mosquito Repellent You Don’t Have To Wear
I love gardening, but those mosquitoes have GOT to GO.
I love the tiki torch kind because you don’t have to watch them as closely as citronella candles, and they look *amazing* in the garden.
8. Glass Terrariums
Little glass terrariums make lovely gardener gifts. They’re another sweet yet classy way to bring the outdoors inside.
You can make your own if you want. They’re all over Pinterest (here’s one I think is lovely)… or save yourself the time and buy one. 🙂
9. Gardening Book
Tips, techniques, fresh new looks – gardening books can open a whole new playground of ideas for gardeners! The best books are specific to their growing region.
Personally, I love the books that tell me what native plants in my region are edible and medicinal. It helps me know which plants I should think about cultivating vs. pulling out as “weeds”.
10. Music of the Garden
Sometimes what gardeners love most is hearing the peaceful song of a bird or the wind blowing through the trees.
Give them their favorite garden sounds on CD (or in downloadable form) to help them bring those peaceful sounds into their home.
11. Solar Lights
Solar lights are definitely a fun gift for gardeners to get! They come in all kinds of colors and shapes.
My favorites are the solar strings I can hang around the garden fence. They make my garden look so charming, so enchanted!
12. Creative Garden Decor
Gardeners enjoy having a few non-plant things to spruce up their garden scene. Just ask yourself this: what kind of garden decor does my gardener want? Something magical, practical, or maybe something funny?
More awesome ideas for you!
